Exciting news for PC gamers – it appears that Horizon Forbidden West is set to make its way to computers very soon. The hugely popular PlayStation exclusive launched on PS4 and PS5 consoles last year to critical acclaim, but PC players have been eagerly awaiting their chance to explore its stunning sci-fi open world.
While Sony has yet to officially confirm this launch, the leak holds weight, as a mysterious Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition recently appeared on the ratings board of Singapore (the IMDA), before being abruptly pulled. Reportedly, this unannounced edition bundles the original Forbidden West game with its Burning Shores expansion content, which arrived earlier in 2023 as a PS5 exclusive.
Horizon Forbidden West is an action role-playing game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles. It’s the sequel to 2017’s critically acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn and continues the story of hunter Aloy in a far-future post-apocalyptic world filled with mysterious animal-like machines.
Praised for its stunning open world visuals, fluid combat and engrossing music, Forbidden West expands on its predecessor’s strengths while introducing new threats for Aloy to overcome using a variety of traps, weapons and abilities.
The game’s first major story expansion, Burning Shores, was released in early 2023 as a PlayStation 5 exclusive. Set in the untamed wilds of Los Angeles, it has Aloy investigating a deadly plague spreading across the region. Burning Shores adds new environments to explore, characters to meet, enemies to defeat and gear to acquire as players unravel the mystery behind the disruptive blight.
Horizon Forbidden West is currently available on PS4 and PS5.
