Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Mortal Kombat 1 expansion, “Khaos Reigns,” featuring the fan-favourite character Cyrax.

MK1 Cyrax Gameplay Trailer
In the new era of Mortal Kombat, Cyrax is depicted as a young Lin Kuei warrior from the Zaki clan, whose exceptional skills have earned her a place under the tutelage of Sektor.
However, her independent nature has created tension between her and her mentor, making it clear that Cyrax will serve the Lin Kuei on her own terms.
The gameplay trailer highlights Cyrax’s high-octane fighting style, which incorporates cybernetic technology to perform impressive aerial attacks and evasive manoeuvres.
Her arsenal includes energy nets to restrain opponents, explosives to extend combos, and sawblades for devastating strikes.
The trailer also teases Cyrax’s Animality, a brutal finishing move that allows her to transform into a hornet to annihilate her defeated foes.
Animalities, a fan-favourite feature, will be available as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners alongside the release of the Khaos Reigns expansion on September 24th.

Khaos Reigns: New Characters, Story, and Pre-Order Bonuses
Khaos Reigns is set to introduce six new DLC characters, including Ghostface from the Scream series, Conan the Barbarian, the T-1000 from Terminator 2, Noob Saibot, Cyrax and Sektor.
While Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot will be available upon the expansion’s launch on the 24th of September, Conan, Ghostface, and the T-1000 will be released at a later date.
The expansion will be available in three tiers: the “expansion” containing the new characters and story mode addition, the “bundle” which includes Kombat Pack 1 and the Jean-Claude Van Damme Johnny Cage skin, and the “kollection” which also includes the base game for newcomers to MK1.
Pre-ordering Khaos Reigns will grant players access to four exclusive skins: Wedding Scorpion, Ultimate MK3 Sub-Zero, Empress Mileena, and Ultimate MK3 Noob Saibot.
