Sons of the Forest Maintenance Keycard Location

The Maintenance Keycard is found inside Maintenance Bunker A on the western side of the island, inland from the western beach.

You need the Shovel to expose the buried bunker hatch. Obtaining the Shovel first requires the Rebreather and Zipline Rope Gun.

To obtain the Maintenance Keycard:

1. Travel to the Maintenance A digsite and use the Shovel to expose the buried hatch.
2. Open the hatch and descend into Maintenance Bunker A.
3. Follow the corridor and enter the living area.
4. Collect the Maintenance Keycard from the desk beside the 3D Printer.

The Maintenance Keycard is the most important of the three for opening the wider keycard network. It grants access to secured sections of both Food and Dining Bunker and Entertainment Bunker, where the other two cards can be obtained.

Tip: Use your GPS map to locate any of these locations or refer to interactive maps for precise guidance.

Sons of the Forest VIP Keycard Location

The VIP Keycard is found inside Food and Dining Bunker in the north-western region of the island. Look for a cave near a pair of golf carts.

You need the Maintenance Keycard to enter the secured hydroponics section containing the route to the card.

To obtain the VIP Keycard:

1. Enter the cave leading to Food and Dining Bunker.
2. Descend through the bunker hatch into the food-storage area.
3. Use the Maintenance Keycard on the secured door.
4. Continue through the hydroponics rooms and flooded section.
5. Enter the security room along the flooded corridor.
6. Collect the VIP Keycard from the desk beneath the security monitors.

The VIP Keycard opens the secured double doors leading into the dining hall within the same bunker.

This is also where an important distinction from older walkthroughs matters: the VIP Keycard is not required to enter Entertainment Bunker or Luxury Bunker in the current version of the game.

Quick Tip: Turning on Peaceful Mode will allow you to explore enemy free.

Sons of the Forest Guest Keycard Location

The Guest Keycard is found inside Entertainment Bunker on the western side of the island.

You need the Maintenance Keycard, not the VIP Keycard, to enter the main entertainment complex.

To obtain the Guest Keycard:

1. Enter the cave leading into Entertainment Bunker.
2. Follow the corridor past the initial 3D Printer room.
3. Use the Maintenance Keycard to open the secured entrance to the main bunker.
4. Continue through the gym, spa, pool, and nightclub areas.
5. Collect the Guest Keycard from a glass table inside the nightclub seating area.

The Guest Keycard opens additional secured rooms within Entertainment Bunker and is also required to enter Residential Bunker on the eastern side of the island.

That makes the Guest Keycard the important card for continuing the late-game bunker route. Residential contains the controls used to unlock Luxury Bunker remotely.

How to Cheat to Get All Sons of the Forest Keycards

If you prefer to skip these steps, you can also add the three keycards through the developer console.

1. Type cheatstick in-game.
2. Press F1 to open the console.
3. Enter the following commands:
   • additem 566 (Maintenance Keycard)
   • additem 567 (Guest Keycard)
   • additem 568 (VIP Keycard)

Alternatively, use addallitems to add every item in the game to your inventory.

With all three keycards, you can access all hidden bunkers, gather crucial supplies, and progress towards Sons of the Forest’s ending.
