Key Highlights:

  • Capcom confirms eight major titles for TGS 2025.
  • Online showcase airs September 24 ahead of the event.
  • Resident Evil Requiem and multiple Monster Hunter titles take centre stage.

Gamescom 2025 has wrapped, and all eyes now turn to Tokyo Game Show, which runs from September 25th to 28th at Makuhari Messe in Japan. Capcom has revealed its full lineup for the show, and it’s a strong one, balancing flagship franchises with long-requested revivals.

An online presentation will also air on September 24 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET / 11:00 p.m. JST.

Capcom’s TGS 2025 Lineup

Here are the confirmed games Capcom is bringing to the event:

  • Monster Hunter Outlanders
  • Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
  • Monster Hunter Wilds
  • Onimusha: Way of the Sword
  • Pragmata
  • Resident Evil Requiem
  • Resident Evil: Survival Unit
  • Street Fighter 6

It’s a mix of heavy-hitters and new directions. Monster Hunter continues to dominate Capcom’s output with three different entries covering mainline, spin-off, and multiplayer territory.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword also signals a confident return to a classic franchise that has been absent for far too long.

Resident Evil Requiem Stands Out

Resident Evil Requiem is the game many fans will be keeping an eye on. At Gamescom, it walked away with awards and plenty of attention. From what I’ve seen so far, this feels like Capcom finally hitting a confident stride with the series, fully aware of what makes Resident Evil tick today.

I have played every single Resident Evil title since the beginning, and RE Requiem seems to carry the DNA of all the entries since, while still offering something fresh.

A Word on Fan Favourites

While the lineup is already stacked, I can’t help but wonder if Capcom might slip in a surprise. Personally, I’d love to see something related to Ace Attorney or even Dragon’s Dogma. It might be wishful thinking, but Tokyo Game Show has historically been the stage for unexpected announcements, so the door isn’t completely shut.

A full C.Viper trailer for Street Fighter 6 is what I am expecting in regards to SF6.

Capcom heads into TGS 2025 in a strong position. The Resident Evil remakes rebuilt trust, Monster Hunter has never been stronger, and Street Fighter 6 continues to carry the fighting game flag. With an online showcase and plenty of playable titles on the show floor, fans will have more than enough to chew on.
