Key Highlights:
- Resident Evil 4 Remake has dropped to just £8.24 on Xbox and £8.74 on PlayStation.

- The sale arrives as fans continue to speculate about a potential Resident Evil: Code Veronica remake announcement.
If you’ve somehow avoided Resident Evil 4 Remake since its launch in 2023, now might be the perfect time to change that.
Capcom’s acclaimed survival horror remake has fallen to its lowest price yet across Xbox, PlayStation and Steam, with all three platforms currently offering a huge 75% discount.
Xbox players can pick up Resident Evil 4 for just £8.24 as part of Microsoft’s Deals Unlocked promotion. The discount marks one of the lowest prices ever seen for the game on the platform and pushes it firmly into impulse-buy territory.
Meanwhile, PlayStation users can grab the remake for £8.74 through the PlayStation Store, down from its usual £34.99 price tag. Sony’s listing shows the promotion running until June 10.
On Steam, the horror title can be grabbed for £8.74 and the Gold Edition is only £13.49.
One of Capcom’s Best Modern Releases

Resident Evil 4 Remake reimagines the 2005 classic with modern visuals, expanded combat, redesigned encounters, and additional story content.
The game remains one of the highest-rated entries in Capcom’s remake series and continues to attract players years after launch. PlayStation’s store page currently shows more than 142,000 user reviews, with an average rating of 4.74 out of 5.
The package has also grown since release thanks to free Mercenaries updates, VR support, and the Separate Ways expansion featuring Ada Wong.
Fans Think Something Bigger Could Be Coming
The timing of the sale has also caught the attention of Resident Evil fans.
Several community figures, including well-known leaker Dusk Golem and other Resident Evil-focused accounts, have suggested that Resident Evil: Code Veronica could be the next remake in Capcom’s pipeline. Recent rumours claim an announcement may be close, although Capcom has yet to confirm any such project.
Adding fuel to the speculation, fans have spotted possible Code Veronica references in Resident Evil Requiem, while discussion surrounding a remake has intensified throughout 2026.
Whether the current sale has any connection to those rumours remains unknown. However, with Resident Evil 4 Remake available for less than £9 on both Xbo, PlayStation and PC, many fans see this as the ideal opportunity to catch up before Capcom reveals what comes next for the franchise.
For now, the only confirmed news is the discount itself. Theories about Code Veronica will have to wait until Capcom decides to show its hand.
