Peacemaker brings Christopher Smith’s firearms, helmet technology, Eagly and deliberately excessive approach to maintaining peace into Mortal Kombat 1. His fighting style combines conventional strikes with Force Multiplier, Human Torpedo, Anti-Gravity and the Sonic Boom helmet, all adapted from his DC screen appearances.

Peacemaker has two character-specific Fatalities, the Proud To Be Eagly-merican Animality, The Klassic and seven character-specific Brutalities. Five Brutalities belong to his Fighter Mastery progression, while Drop Em! and Death From Above were added later during the Khaos Reigns era.

How to Perform Peacemaker’s First Fatality in MK1 (Pest Exterminator)

Input Distance: Close to Jump Distance
Execution Difficulty: Easy

  • PlayStation: ⬇️, ➡️, ⬇️, 🅾️
  • Xbox: ⬇️, ➡️, ⬇️, 🅑
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬇️, ➡️, ⬇️, 🅐

Pest Exterminator reveals a Butterfly emerging from the defeated opponent. Peacemaker repeatedly tries to shoot the creature but instead mutilates the opponent with his shotgun before finally catching and crushing the escaping Butterfly.

The practical range is considerably broader than a simple Mid label suggests. Pest Exterminator works from close range out towards Jump Distance, so there is no need to find one exact midpoint before entering the input.

How to Perform Peacemaker’s Second Fatality in MK1 (Flight Delayed To Rest)

Input Distance: Close to Jump Distance
Execution Difficulty: Easy

  • PlayStation: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, 🔺
  • Xbox: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, 🅨
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, 🅧

Flight Delayed To Rest has Peacemaker use a jetpack to tear through the opponent before activating Sonic Boom and obliterating what remains. Eagly then joins the sequence for the final flourish.

Like Pest Exterminator, the second Fatality has a generous activation window stretching from close range towards Jump Distance. I would treat that entire zone as usable rather than trying to reproduce the older generic Mid-range description exactly.

How to Perform Peacemaker’s Animality in MK1 (Proud To Be Eagly-merican)

Mortal Kombat 1 Peacemaker Bald Eagle Animality (Proud To Be Eagly-merican)

Input Distance: Sweep Distance to Full Screen
Execution Difficulty: Easy

  • PlayStation: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, ⬇️
  • Xbox: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, ⬇️
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬅️, ➡️, ⬅️, ⬇️

Proud To Be Eagly-merican transforms Peacemaker into a bald eagle alongside Eagly. The two attack the opponent before the sequence escalates into gunfire, explosives and an unmistakably patriotic finish.

The Animality also has one of the most forgiving ranges in Peacemaker’s finisher collection. Once you have created approximately Sweep Distance, the same input remains valid all the way out to Full Screen.

The bald eagle transformation is particularly appropriate because Eagly is already one of Peacemaker’s defining companions rather than an unrelated animal chosen solely for the Animality.

For the animal transformation used by every other playable fighter, see our complete Mortal Kombat 1 Animality guide.

All Peacemaker Brutalities in Mortal Kombat 1

Peacemaker has The Klassic and five character-specific Brutalities unlocked through Fighter Mastery. Shield Of Peace!, Boom Boom!, What Does That Do?, Human Torpedo and Wait For It! unlock at Mastery Ranks 1, 4, 7, 11 and 18 respectively.

Two additional Brutalities, Drop Em! and Death From Above, were added with the Khaos Reigns-era Brutality expansion.

The Klassic

Unlock Requirement: Available by default

  • PlayStation: ⬇️ + 🔺
  • Xbox: ⬇️ + 🅨
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬇️ + 🅧

Final Hit: Uppercut
Additional Condition: Hold Back Punch during the Final Hit.

Peacemaker performs the traditional Mortal Kombat uppercut and removes the opponent’s head.

Keep Back Punch held as the Uppercut connects rather than releasing the attack immediately.

Shield Of Peace!

Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 1

  • PlayStation: L1 or ⬜ + 🅧
  • Xbox: LB or 🅧 + 🅐
  • Nintendo Switch: L or 🅨 + 🅑

Final Hit: Red And Blue Angel (Back Throw)
Additional Condition: Press ⬇️, ⬇️, ⬇️ during the Final Hit.

Shield Of Peace! turns Peacemaker’s Red And Blue Angel Back Throw into a Brutality, with his shield delivering the lethal finish. Red And Blue Angel is specifically Peacemaker’s backward throw, so you do not need to add Forward to the Throw input.

Start entering the three Down inputs once the throw animation begins rather than waiting for the opponent to hit the ground.

Brutality Variation: After Shield Of Peace! has triggered, hold Up + Back Punch + Stance + Block to produce an alternate ending where a Butterfly emerges from the opponent.

  • PlayStation variation: ⬆️ + 🔺 + L2 + R2
  • Xbox variation: ⬆️ + 🅨 + LT + RT
  • Nintendo Switch variation: ⬆️ + 🅧 + ZL + ZR

The Butterfly can occasionally appear without the additional input, so the variation is unusual in that the alternate animation also has a random component.

Peacemaker’s Back Throw can also activate the universal MK11-style Screen Throw Brutality. Instead of entering the Shield Of Peace! Down inputs, hold Up + Back Punch immediately when initiating Red And Blue Angel.

Because Shield Of Peace!, its hidden Butterfly variation and the Screen Throw all originate from the same Back Throw, the follow-up input is what determines the result.

Boom Boom!

Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 4

  • PlayStation: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅧
  • Xbox: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅐
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅑

Final Hit: Activate Sonic Boom
Additional Condition: Hold Front Punch during the Final Hit.

Boom Boom! uses Peacemaker’s Sonic Boom helmet to completely destroy the opponent, recreating the effect of the helmet’s devastating shockwave.

The special move itself uses Front Kick, but the Brutality condition requires Front Punch to be held as Sonic Boom connects. Keeping those two buttons separate is the main execution detail to remember.

What Does That Do?

Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 7

  • PlayStation: 🔺, 🔺, L1 or ⬜ + 🅧
  • Xbox: 🅨, 🅨, LB or 🅧 + 🅐
  • Nintendo Switch: 🅧, 🅧, L or 🅨 + 🅑

Final Hit: Head On Approach
Additional Condition: Hold Down during the Final Hit.

What Does That Do? extends Peacemaker’s Head On Approach Kombo by introducing an explosive device before he protects himself from the resulting blast with his Force Field.

Complete the Head On Approach string normally and begin holding Down as its finishing sequence connects. There is no separate special-move input to add after the Kombo.

Human Torpedo

Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 11

  • PlayStation: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🔺
  • Xbox: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅨
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅧

Final Hit: Activate Human Torpedo
Additional Condition: Hold Back Kick during the Final Hit.

Human Torpedo has Peacemaker launch himself directly through the opponent, destroying them on impact.

Hold Back Kick as Human Torpedo connects. The Brutality condition uses a different attack button from the Back Punch used to activate Human Torpedo itself, so there is no need to alter the directional input.

Wait For It!

Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 18

  • PlayStation: ⬅️, ➡️ + ⬜
  • Xbox: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅧
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬅️, ➡️ + 🅨

Final Hit: Force Multiplier
Input Distance: Jump Distance or farther
Additional Condition: Hold Front Kick during the Final Hit.

Wait For It! uses Force Multiplier to embed an explosive compression round in the opponent before the delayed detonation finishes them.

The distance requirement is critical. Peacemaker must be at least Jump Distance away when the final Force Multiplier connects, so a successful projectile hit from closer range will not satisfy the Brutality condition. Establish the gap first, then fire and hold Front Kick as the shot lands.

Seasonal Store Brutalities

Peacemaker received two additional Brutalities through the Seasonal Store during the Khaos Reigns-era finisher expansion. Drop Em! and Death From Above sit outside Fighter Mastery progression and remain part of his current Brutality collection.

Drop Em!

Unlock Requirement: Seasonal Store

  • PlayStation: ➡️ + ⬜, ⬜, 🅾️
  • Xbox: ➡️ + 🅧, 🅧, 🅑
  • Nintendo Switch: ➡️ + 🅨, 🅨, 🅐

Final Hit: Total Kommitment Kick
Additional Condition: Hold Back during the Final Hit.

Drop Em! modifies Total Kommitment Kick, with the finishing strike removing the opponent’s head and arms.

The directional timing deserves attention because Total Kommitment Kick starts with Forward + Front Punch, while the Brutality requires Back to be held during the finishing hit. Do not pre-hold Back before beginning the Kombo. Enter the Forward starter normally, complete the string, then transition to holding Back as the final Back Kick connects.

Death From Above

Unlock Requirement: Seasonal Store

  • PlayStation: ⬇️, ⬅️ + 🔺
  • Xbox: ⬇️, ⬅️ + 🅨
  • Nintendo Switch: ⬇️, ⬅️ + 🅧

Final Hit: Activate Anti-Gravity
Additional Condition: Hold Down during the Final Hit.

Death From Above turns Activate Anti-Gravity into a Brutality, with Peacemaker crashing down onto the opponent and destroying them beneath him.

Activate Anti-Gravity normally allows Peacemaker to alter his landing point by holding Back or Forward during the ascent. For the Brutality, the simplest approach is to use the standard Anti-Gravity activation and concentrate on holding Down for the Final Hit rather than unnecessarily changing his landing position.

CJR Gaming’s Mortal Kombat 1 Definitive Edition Peacemaker showcase contains The Klassic, all seven character-specific Brutalities, Pest Exterminator, Flight Delayed To Rest and Proud To Be Eagly-merican. The video therefore covers Peacemaker’s complete current standard finisher collection rather than only his original launch finishers.

As one of Mortal Kombat 1’s original Kombat Pack guest fighters, Peacemaker sits naturally alongside Omni-Man and Homelander. All three joined the roster through the same DLC pack and originate outside the Mortal Kombat universe.
