Sub-Zero is as iconic as Mortal Kombat gets. In Mortal Kombat 1’s New Era, the mantle belongs to Bi-Han, the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei and older brother of Kuai Liang, who becomes Scorpion. His finishers reflect his mastery of cryomancy, using ice-based attacks to freeze, impale, and shatter his opponents.

This guide covers all of Sub-Zero’s Mortal Kombat 1 finishers, including his Fatalities, Animality, and Brutalities. Each section provides platform-specific inputs, Input Distance requirements, execution conditions, and practical cues to help players perform each finisher reliably.

Sub-Zero Brutalities

Sub-Zero’s Brutalities require specific final hits and execution conditions to trigger. His Brutality catalogue includes finishers unlocked through Fighter Mastery and additional Brutalities introduced through other parts of Mortal Kombat 1, including Invasions.

The Advanced View in the Finishers section of the Move List displays the additional requirement for each unlocked Brutality. These conditions can include holding a button, pressing a directional input during the final hit, attacking from a specific distance, or ending the match with a particular move.
