With Tokyo Game Show 2025 set to begin on September 25th, Sega has unveiled its official lineup, confirming a strong roster of titles while leaving four intriguing “Coming Soon” slots on its event page.
The company will also host its annual Ryu Ga Gotoku Summit livestream, which has become a reliable platform for major reveals, including last year’s Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
Sega’s Confirmed TGS 2025 Lineup
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
- Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage
- Persona 3 Reload (Nintendo Switch 2 version)
- Persona 5: The Phantom X
- Football Manager 26
- SEGA Football Club Champions 2025
On top of these, Sega’s booth will also feature games from partnered publishers, including Borderlands 4 from 2K, survival horror sequel STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and a new, unannounced project from Nippon Ichi Software, creators of the Disgaea series.
The Mystery Titles

The four blank placeholders have set speculation alight. Historically, Sega has used TGS to reveal big-name projects, and with the Like a Dragon series maintaining an almost annual release cadence since 2020, fans are convinced a new entry or spinoff could headline the show.
From my experience covering the series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio rarely arrives at TGS empty-handed, and with the Summit confirmed, the odds feel especially strong this year.
Beyond Yakuza, Atlus projects are also in the conversation. A Persona 4 remake (Persona 4: Revival) was confirmed in June 2025, but shown only briefly. TGS is the perfect opportunity for Sega to reveal more substantial gameplay.
Even more exciting is the constant demand for Persona 6, which, despite no official announcement, remains one of the most requested titles from the community. I’d be surprised if Sega left the event without at least teasing its existence.
Other fan theories touch on Skies of Arcadia, which many hope will get a remaster, and Jet Set Radio, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. While nothing has been confirmed, Sega is clearly leaning into nostalgia-driven projects, and these would fit the trend perfectly.
You can visit the official SEGA website and TGS page that is in English, by clicking the hyperlink. There’s nothing there other than the confirmed games, and coming soon titles as of this writing. However, this will obviously be updates, so you might want to bookmark the page to check back periodically.
They’re not the only big name publishers present at the event, Capcom have revealed their lineup, that includes Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Wilds, Onimusha Way of the Sword and more.
For PlayStation gamers, Sony have also shared info on their lineup, that includes Ghost of Yotei, Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls, and Astro Bot.
When and Where Is Tokyo Game Show 2025 Happening?
The Tokyo Game Show 2025 will be held from September 25th to September 28th, with the Business Days taking place on September 25th and 26th from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and the Public Days on September 27th and 28th, starting at 9:30 AM; on September 27th, the event closes at 5:00 PM, and on September 28th, it concludes at 4:30 PM.
What Are the Tokyo Game Show 2025 Stage and Program Highlights?
Tokyo Game Show 2025 will feature 14 stage programs and 21 official programs across its four days, including exhibitor-led showcases and host-organised events. Highlights include Capcom’s online special, Xbox and Level-5 showcases, a live Nioh 3 presentation, a Battlefield 6 single-player reveal, and the Japan Game Awards 2025. Many of these official programs will also be streamed online.
Tokyo Game Show is always crowded with big announcements, but Sega has positioned itself to be a clear headline act. Between established franchises like Virtua Fighter and Persona, sports titles like Football Manager, and the strong chance of at least one major surprise, Sega’s booth is shaping up to be one of the busiest of the convention.
I’ve covered TGS for years, and have noticed Sega’s strategy has shifted from simply showing updates to actively creating moments that dominate the conversation. If the four mystery games deliver, the 2025 TGS could easily be remembered as one of their most important showings in recent memory.
