Virginia Puffton is the stronger of the two companions in Sons of The Forest once she trusts the player. She can hold two weapons and will help in fights, which is why many players like to give her a look that fits the role. Her clothes are cosmetic, so they do not change stats, but they do let you personalise your run. She starts in a blue swimsuit, with four extra outfits to collect across the island.
SOTF Virginia Camouflage Suit Location
The Camouflage suit is the quickest grab. Head to the north-west shoreline. Look for a pair of abandoned kayaks on the sand near scattered supplies. The outfit sits inside one of the kayaks next to a lunchbox and binoculars. No tools or cards needed here.
Where to find Dress for Virginia Sons of the Forest?
To find The Dress, ignore any guide that still sends you to Food and Dining. That spawn is outdated. In the current build the Dress is in the VIP Bunker, also known as the Luxury Bunker. I verified this on a fresh save and a patched save. You need all three keycards to reach it.
Enter the facility and push on until you hit a yellow door with blood outside. Go through that room, exit the next yellow door, and follow the corridor to a split. Take the right path into the open bedroom. You can save here.
Check the desk on the left for the note titled “Last Will and Testament of Edward Puffton.” A dead cultist lies at the foot of the bed with a grenade and a note that reads “Blow yourself up in the daughter’s room.” The Dress sits on the shelving behind that cultist. Pick it up and then equip it on Virginia once she has joined you.
Sons of The Forest Virginia Leather Suit Location
The Leather Suit is tied to two spots as of patch 06. First, check the crashed helicopter on the east shore of the lake with the small island, which lies just south of the Food and Dining bunker. The suit sits on the helicopter floor. If it is not there in your save, head to the Residential bunker and push through to the Katana room. I treat the helicopter as the main spawn on fresh runs, then use the Residential bunker as the fallback. Either way, you leave with the same Leather Outfit.
SOTF Virginia Tracksuit Location
The Tracksuit is in the Entertainment bunker gym, which many players first know as the printer bunker. Enter at the green marker near the western beach. Inside, you can save at the 3D printer room, which I always do before pushing deeper.
Follow the corridor to the lit gap, squeeze through, then use the Maintenance Keycard on the locked doors. You will enter a large indoor gym. It is dim, so a torch helps. Move into the blue-lit free weights area. The Tracksuit rests on a bench-press seat on the right. Watch for mutants patrolling the mats.
If you still need the Maintenance Keycard, dig into a Maintenance bunker at a green GPS pulse where broken golf carts sit by a mound of soil. Use the Shovel on the mound to reach the apartment and grab the card. Getting the Shovel itself needs the Rebreather and Rope Gun from caves on the west side, so plan a small gear loop first. I carry meds, a few sticks for quick saves, and at least one ranged weapon for cave clears.
Once you have the set, open Virginia’s inventory and swap her outfit at camp. Her gear does not affect damage or defence, so pick what suits the run and your screenshots. I prefer the Camouflage suit for forest patrols and the Tracksuit when I am running bunkers, since it fits the theme.
