Fortnite’s Simpsons season is now in full view after Epic Games granted early access to several creators, letting fans see every major addition before it goes live. The crossover brings Springfield to the Fortnite island, a themed Battle Pass stacked with familiar faces, and the debut of an entirely new cosmetic type called Sidekicks. For long-time fans like me, this feels like one of Epic’s most ambitious licensed seasons yet.
The upcoming mini-season, running through November, replaces the current Chapter 6 map with Springfield. These shorter seasons usually last around a month and feature a more compact Battle Pass. While smaller in scale, this one’s packed with detail and fan service. From what’s been shown by creators at the official Epic headquarters in North Carolina, Springfield includes ten fully named locations such as Evergreen Terrace, the Nuclear Power Plant, Kamp Krusty, and Burns Manor. These points of interest bring the town to life in a way that captures the visual tone of The Simpsons perfectly.
Marge Simpson is the first skin available in the pass, joined by Blinky Fishstick, Ned Flanders, and Homer Simpson as the main unlocks. There’s also a Peely Simpson bonus skin scheduled to arrive later in the season. Each comes with themed gear, loading screens, and reactive cosmetics. Marge even gets an alternate “Witch Marge” style inspired by the Treehouse of Horror specials. Maggie doesn’t appear as a playable skin, but she rides along as part of Marge’s Cart-a-Copter glider.
The Simpsons Battle Pass Skins:
| Skin | Notes |
|---|---|
| Marge Simpson | Includes Witch Marge variant and Maggie Cart-a-Copter glider |
| Blinky Fishstick | Fusion of Fishstick and the three-eyed Blinky |
| Ned Flanders | Includes “Stupid Sexy Flanders” ski outfit |
| Homer Simpson | Final unlock with Evil Homer variant |
| Peely Simpson | Bonus skin (Item Shop release later in the season) |
Springfield Map POIs:
| Named Location | Description |
|---|---|
| Cletus’ Corn Hole | Rural farmland area |
| Springfield Nuclear Power Plant | Central industrial zone |
| Kamp Krusty | Outdoor camp and activity site |
| Burns Manor | Mansion with high-tier loot |
| Mayor’s Munchies | Downtown café area |
| Springfield Town Square | Main hub for NPC quests |
| Evergreen Terrace | Residential zone featuring the Simpsons’ home |
| Springfield Slurpworks | Factory-style healing hub |
| Donut District | Themed commercial area |
As for Ned Flanders, players can unlock both his regular look and the fan-favourite “Stupid Sexy Flanders” ski outfit from the show’s classic episode. Homer rounds off the Battle Pass with an “Evil Homer” variant, which fans will recognise instantly from the series’ musical cutaway gag.
From what I’ve seen of creator previews, the battle pass strikes a surprisingly strong balance between nostalgia and Fortnite’s own cartoon energy. Each model uses a slightly cel-shaded texture style that makes them fit right into the game’s existing art direction. It’s something Epic struggled with in past collabs, but here it feels like a natural fit. You can see the full battle pass showcased by content creator Lachlan below.

The Battle Pass also offers an unusually high number of V-Bucks rewards per page, as well as animated wraps, themed emotes, and reactive back blings like Homer’s donut, which gradually gets eaten with each elimination. The Springfield theme runs through everything, down to weapon skins inspired by nuclear waste and Krusty Burger designs.
While Bart and Krusty aren’t part of the Battle Pass, both are confirmed to appear in the Item Shop soon. Bart goes live on November 1, and Krusty will arrive later in the month, though Epic hasn’t confirmed exactly when.
Lachlan wasn’t the only content creator invited to the Epic HQ, Clix and many others previewed the crossover and the latter even posted battle royale gameplay which you can view below:
Fortnite Simpsons Gameplay Video
Beyond the characters, the season introduces a new gameplay system called Sidekicks. This feature lets players design and name their own companion, customising its look, colours, and accessories before locking it in permanently. Based on creator footage, once your Sidekick is finalised, it can’t be altered again unless Epic adds reroll options later. It’s a clever addition that builds on the game’s personality-driven approach to cosmetics, and I suspect we’ll see Sidekicks evolve across future seasons just like Back Blings once did.
From a creative direction standpoint, The Simpsons crossover represents how far Fortnite’s collaborations have come. Earlier collabs often focused on single characters or small sets, but this one introduces a full map transformation, multiple cosmetic lines, and a system expansion all at once. If Epic maintains this level of ambition heading into Chapter 7, the game’s creative curve isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
