Once a respected Outworld merchant, Baraka was transformed after contracting the Tarkat disease in Mortal Kombat 1’s New Era. He now leads a colony of afflicted Outworlders and fights using the Tarkatan blades extending from his forearms.

How to Perform Baraka’s First Fatality in MK1 (Split Decision)
Input Distance: Close to Sweep Distance
Execution Difficulty: Easy

Baraka drives both Tarkatan blades through his opponent’s torso and lifts them from the ground. He then forces the blades through their face before ripping them free as the victim collapses.
Split Decision puts Baraka’s defining forearm blades at the centre of the Fatality rather than relying on another weapon or summoned attack.
How to Perform Baraka’s Second Fatality in MK1 (Four Piece Kombo)
Input Distance: Close to Sweep Distance
Execution Difficulty: Easy

Baraka punches into his opponent’s abdomen and pulls out their intestine before launching them into the air. He ignites his blades, uses the intestine to hold the victim above the flames, and leaves the remaining feast to a group of Tarkatans.
Four Piece Kombo is unusual among Baraka’s finishers because other Tarkatans participate in the final sequence rather than Baraka completing the execution alone.
Important: Baraka can also perform the Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter Fatalities if they are unlocked on the player’s account. These seasonal Fatalities are not unique to Baraka and can be performed by other playable fighters.
How to Perform Baraka’s Animality in MK1 (Tranquill Demise)

Execution Difficulty: Easy

Baraka transforms into a giant porcupine and charges into his opponent, launching them into the air. He fires a barrage of quills into the victim before they fall onto the porcupine’s back and are impaled by the remaining spines.
Tranquill Demise replaces the giant vulture transformation used for Baraka’s earlier Animality in Mortal Kombat Trilogy, giving him a completely different animal form in Mortal Kombat 1.

All Baraka Brutalities in Mortal Kombat 1
Baraka has The Klassic and five character-specific Brutalities unlocked through Fighter Mastery. Nom Nom, Chop Shop, Empty Inside, Old School, and ’Tis A Flesh Wound become available at Mastery Ranks 3, 5, 7, 10, and 15.
Baraka can also unlock Ouchie! and Through And Through separately through the recurring Seasonal Store. These two Brutalities are not Fighter Mastery rewards.
The Klassic
Unlock Requirement: Available by default

Final Hit: Uppercut
Additional Condition: Hold Back Punch during the Final Hit.
Baraka performs an Uppercut that removes his opponent’s head. The Klassic is available without increasing Baraka’s Fighter Mastery Rank.
Nom Nom
Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 3

Final Hit: Quick Taste (Back Throw)
Additional Condition: Press Down three times immediately after grabbing the opponent.
Baraka performs Quick Taste and repeatedly bites into his opponent’s torso. He continues feeding until the victim’s upper body has been hollowed out.
Brutality Variation: Instead of pressing Down three times, hold Up + Back Punch immediately after initiating the Back Throw to trigger the universal MK11 Screen Throw.
Quick Taste is Baraka’s Back Throw, while his Forward Throw is a separate move named Shove.
Chop Shop
Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 5

Final Hit: Chop Chop
Additional Condition: Rapidly press any Basic Attack button during the Final Hit.
Baraka repeatedly drives his Tarkatan blades into the opponent with Chop Chop. He lifts the victim before cutting their body apart and leaving the upper half impaled on one of his blades.
Begin tapping an attack button as soon as Chop Chop connects so the repeated inputs register before the move finishes.
Empty Inside
Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 7

Final Hit: Stab Stab
Additional Condition: Press Up three times during the Final Hit. The opponent must be airborne when Stab Stab connects.
Baraka catches the airborne opponent with Stab Stab and repeatedly impales them with his forearm blades before allowing the body to fall.
The airborne-opponent requirement is essential. Stab Stab can still connect against a grounded fighter, but Empty Inside will not activate.
Old School
Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 10

Final Hit: Euthanizer
Additional Condition: Hold Back during the Final Hit.
Baraka completes the Euthanizer Kombo before decapitating the opponent with the final blade strike.
Old School deliberately echoes Baraka’s classic Blade Decapitation Fatality, where a single arm-blade strike removes the opponent’s head.
’Tis A Flesh Wound
Unlock Requirement: Fighter Mastery Rank 15

Final Hit: Heel Drop
Additional Condition: Hold Down during the Final Hit.
Baraka finishes the match with Heel Drop, bringing his foot down with enough force to destroy the opponent’s head on impact.
Unlike several of Baraka’s other Brutalities, ’Tis A Flesh Wound has no separate distance, airborne, or repeated-button requirement.
Seasonal Store Brutalities
Baraka has two additional Brutalities available through the recurring Seasonal Store. Ouchie! and Through And Through are separate from Fighter Mastery and remain available to Baraka once acquired. Both were originally offered for 6,000 Seasonal Kredits.
Ouchie!
Unlock Requirement: Seasonal Store

Final Hit: Bleeding Blade
Input Distance: At least Jump Distance
Additional Condition: Hold Back during the Final Hit.
Baraka fires one of his Tarkatan blades with Bleeding Blade. When Ouchie! activates, the detached blade impales the opponent through the torso.
Ouchie! is Baraka’s only named Brutality with a documented minimum Input Distance. Standing closer than Jump Distance prevents the Brutality from activating even if Bleeding Blade delivers the Final Hit.
Through And Through
Unlock Requirement: Seasonal Store

Final Hit: Warrior’s Fury
Additional Condition: Hold Forward during the Final Hit.
Baraka completes Warrior’s Fury before launching himself directly through the opponent with both forearm blades extended.
Through And Through uses the short Back + Front Kick, Back Punch Kombo. Once the sequence begins, holding Forward during the closing hit is the only additional execution requirement.
