Star Wars Icon Ahsoka Tano Now Playable in Fortnite

Ahsoka Tano, former Jedi Padawan and fan favourite Star Wars character, has arrived in Fortnite as part of Chapter 4, Season 4’s Battle Pass. Initially met with skepticism, Ahsoka grew to popularity through development in Clone Wars and Rebels before debuting in live action. Now Fortnite players can unlock her iconic look along with quests to master the Force under her tutelage.

Fortnite x Ahsoka Reveal Trailer

Like many Star Wars protagonists, Ahsoka appeared in various video game adaptations of the saga, primarily Clone Wars tie-ins. She was also playable in the now defunct Disney Infinity, added as DLC to Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and planned for the cancelled Battlefront 2 Mustafar expansion.

Epic announced Ahsoka’s impending Fortnite arrival back in August to promote her new live action series. In the initial heist trailer, eagle-eyed players would have been able to spot her cameo appearance briefly near the end.. Today she went live alongside a trailer of Ahsoka emerging on the Island through a portal and igniting her white lightsaber. Players can progress her in-game quest line to learn the ways of the Force from the experienced Jedi veteran.

The iconic character joins a multitude of Star Wars characters in Fortnite like Obi-Wan, Boba Fett, Rey, Darth Vader and more. These are often timed around new shows, as with Obi-Wan’s addition during his Disney+ series. Ahsoka’s inclusion likewise celebrates her self-titled spinoff show.

The battle royale title recently celebrated it’s 6th birthday with an event that brought back balloons and cake amongst other previously vaulted items.

Players who’ve followed Ahsoka’s journey from snippy Padawan to matured Jedi veteran capable of battling villains like Vader and Thrawn will delight in playing as her. Unlocking Ahsoka via the chapter 4 season 4 battle pass allows embracing her hard-won wisdom and signature combat style through Fortnite’s accessible gameplay.

Other Notable Changes In v26.20 update

The v26.20 update also provided other content for the community including quite a few changes to the game in general. The rifts are back where you go through them and come out with special lightsaber abilities like the force push, and the force to double jump and sprint faster.

Other notable changed include a new reality augment entitled marksman headshots which increases headshot damage whilst using a rifle. Soaring sprints and more parkour reality augments have been unvaulted, and Ranked Solo Zero Build has also been put back into the game by Epic.

Epic continues leveraging its pop culture clout through major crossover IP like Star Wars. Meanwhile, fans get to play out “what if” scenarios between disparate fictional characters and worlds. Ahsoka training Fortnite characters in the ways of the Force is yet another joyful byproduct of this creative marketing.
