Specifically, he recently updated his LinkedIn to mention serving as Lead Outsource Artist on “The Last of Us: Part One and The Last of Us 2: Remastered.”
While an enhancement of a 3-year-old PS4 game already upgraded via backwards compatibility raises eyebrows, a more comprehensive remaster bringing Part II to the stunning standards of last year’s acclaimed The Last of Us 1 overhaul makes sense.
As usual, Naughty Dog remains tightly guarded about projects in progress. The long-in-development Last of Us multiplayer spinoff has reportedly faced challenges after acquisition by Sony’s Bungie, who questioned its ability to sustain engagement long-term. ND also previously teased an unspecified new single-player experience.
But the resume suggests the studio is crafting something to showcase the game on PS5 in line with Last of Us 1 remake. While full details remain scarce, fans have dearly wished to see the sequel enhanced to match its predecessor’s visual splendor.
Logical Follow-Up to Acclaimed Part I PS5
Given Part I’s immense success, remastering the sequel seems natural for ND, letting them further refine the technical marvel of their gameplay and storytelling prowess. And the PS5’s power enables honoring the sequel with the definitive version it deserves.
Of course, this assumes the employee’s credentials indeed confirm a Part II remastered. But with ND, the understated approach is common until major announcements.

Until official word arrives, fans can only hope ND is secretly leveraging their expertise to remaster Part II into the stunning modern masterpiece it deserves to be.
