Bandai Namco recently dropped a new Tekken 8 trailer highlighting returning fighter Leo’s reworked moveset. Additionally, the official PC requirements confirm performance targets and 100GB storage needs.
Key Highlights:
- Leo trailer displays combo strings, specials, Heat attacks.
- Relies on speedy strikes and elbow smashes with juggle potential.
- PC version demands 16GB RAM recommended, 100GB storage.
- Guarantees 60 FPS under default settings.
- 32 fighters at launch including 3 brand new characters.
With its January release rapidly approaching, Tekken 8 developers are showcasing more of the roster’s capabilities. The latest gameplay trailer puts Leo in the spotlight, while the public PC specifications give players performance expectations.
Leo’s Offense and Mobility
Leo first appeared back in the 6th instalment, utilising a hard-hitting Chinese martial art emphasising elbows and shoulders. The new footage displays how the style translates into Tekken 8’s revamped combat engine.
Leo comes across as an aggressive rushdown fighter, pressing the pace with quick punches and uppercuts. These chain into pop-up attacks that juggle opponents for extended beating.
The trailer also highlights Leo’s Rage Art, a cinematic super move. It has Leo blasting the enemy back to swing dramatically around the stage via grappling hook before crashing down for a bone-crunching shoulder slam.

In addition to Leo’s trailer, the official Steam page outlined the full PC specifications needed to run Tekken 8 on desktop rigs.
The minimum and recommended processor, RAM, and graphics card show baseline and ideal setups respectively. As expected, 16GB system RAM is preferred for smoother performance.
Additionally, the Beat ‘Em Up demands 100GB of free storage space regardless of other components. So players should clear room on their game drives accordingly.
Visual Performance Expectations
For graphics, Bandai Namco states that 60 FPS gameplay is “guaranteed” on PC using default settings. However, background apps can cause occasional dips when launching.
So players meeting or exceeding recommendations can expect a smooth experience. But some tweaking may help shore up consistency if noticing drops during heated moments.
Tekken 8 contains 32 playable fighters including series staples like Bryan Fury, Jun Kazama, King and many more returning along with some fresh faces.
The newcomers help revitalise the lineup, with earlier trailers introducing martial artist azucena, capoeira expert Victor Chevalier, and Heihachi successor Reina.
Players can master their movesets and combos when the fighting title launches January 26th, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
