The Spacesuit is one of the more unique outfits in Sons of the Forest, added during Patch 05. It’s tucked away inside the Residential Bunker, which sits in the southeastern region of the map near the large lake. It’s the same complex where you find the Katana and witness the short Sluggy cutscene, so if you’ve been there before, you’ll know exactly where to head.
Spacesuit Location
To access this bunker, you’ll need the purple Guest Keycard. Without it, the main door to the deeper sections will stay locked. If you haven’t picked it up yet, it’s found in the VIP Bunker during the main story, so make sure you’ve progressed far enough before making the trip. Once inside, take the stairwell down to Level 2.
From the bottom of the stairs, head into the second door on the right to grab the Katana if you don’t already have it. After leaving that room, enter the next door on the right. In the far corner, beside a laptop, you’ll see the Spacesuit laid out neatly on a desk. There’s no puzzle or hidden trigger, just pick it up.
Spacesuit Benefits
You can equip it immediately from your inventory or hand it to Kelvin if you want to see how it looks. On him, the white and orange design stands out clearly against the darker biomes, giving a clean, futuristic look that’s surprisingly fitting in the late game.
The outfit doesn’t change your stats in any major way, but it provides slight resistance to cold and wet conditions, which I noticed when exploring the mountain zones after equipping it.
It’s cosmetic first and foremost, though its rarity makes it a solid collector’s item for players who enjoy finding every unique outfit in Sons of The Forest.
If you’re heading there for the first time, bring plenty of light sources and a backup melee weapon. The bunker’s lower floors can be swarming with mutants, and the cutscene room often resets enemies between visits.
I’d also suggest saving before entering, just in case you trigger the cinematic again.
Once you’ve cleared the area, take a moment to appreciate the detail. The Spacesuit adds a surreal twist to the island’s mystery, seeing futuristic gear in a facility filled with cult remnants is a perfect reminder of how Sons of the Forest blends science fiction with survival horror.
